Happy 2nd Birthday Brooks

Brooks-

I can't believe you are already 2. It seems like just yesterday that I had you, yet at times it feels like it's been much longer then 2 years. You are the sweetest, happiest, cutest little boy I know and you have stolen my heart from the day I met you. I feel so blessed to be yours and Emma's mommy. Everyone says their children are smart but you truly are so smart it blows my mind sometimes. Your vocabulary is amazing and you really understand everything we tell you and ask you to do. Your teachers at school talk about how smart you are and random people we come in contact with tell us how smart you are. I'd love to say you are so smart because you have your mommy's genes but I'm pretty sure you get it from daddy! Here is what you are up too these days:

-You wear size 24 month to 2T clothes
-You are still in size 4 diapers (but not for long because we're going to potty train you soon)
-You go to bed about 8:00 every night and normally sleep between 7:00 and 8:00, however the last 2 weeks you've woken up in the middle of the night and gotten up around 6:30 in the mornings. You are getting your 2 year molars and they are really bothering you
-You are EXTREMELY attached to your "towel" (tiger blankie), paci and Lovey (Emma's stuffed animal dog) and your list of attachments seem to grow adding in your blankie and Raggedy Andy.
-Your favorite show is Barney and has been for some time now. You still call him Barn Barn too and it's really cute
-You can sing Twinkle Twinkle Little Star by yourself, Jesus Loves Me, your ABC's and Row, Row, Row your boat with some help.
-Your favorite book is Patty Cake and we do it every night before bed as well as another book called the Little Digger.
-You recognize your name when you see it on things
-You love your sister and want to be just like her. For example, you will try any food we put in front of you (where your sister won't) and you will say you like it and then she will try it and say she doesn't like it and you spit it out and say don't like. This is just one of the many ways you want to be just like her.
-I would love to make a list of words you are saying but it's grown so much there is no way to do it. You are making almost complete sentences and communicate so well.

Every day you amaze us with something new you do or something new you say. We are so blessed because of you and Emma and we love you so, so much!

Happy 2nd Birthday sweet baby boy!

Love,
Daddy, Mommy, and Emma
