Emma & Brooks

A few weeks ago Emma's Mother's Day Out program started back for summer. We decided we'd go and let Brooks try it out since it's just 2 days a week. Here is a picture of them from their first day this summer. So cute and so happy!

Unfortunately his days have just been ok! I know he'll come around and LOVE it like Emma does. Right now though I'd venture to say he'd be fine only dropping sissy off and picking her up! The first few times we'd ask him if he had fun at school and he'd say no...at least he's honest! He actually did have a better day today then he's had yet so I'm anxious to see if he says he had fun when I get home. He played some and ate some which is huge! Emma of course is having SO MUCH FUN! She loves it and the summer program is more fun stuff they do and so she's really enjoying it!

I still have a lot of catching up to do. Hopefully I can do that soon!

Pool Time...

I'm a little behind on blogging but hopefully I can catch up shortly. 2 weeks ago we went to my mother in laws house to swim for the day. Emma did so good and realized she can touch in the shallow end and that gave her so much more freedom. We ended up staying all day Saturday. Amber, Jacob, Colyn, Jarred, Amy and Braegan joined us. I didn't have my camera again but Amber did. Of course with small kids it's hard to take pictures at the pool so these are from later in the day and Amy was already gone.

Play Dates are SO MUCH Fun!!!

A couple of weeks ago we went headed to the Splash Pad in Trussville with our sweet friends Kristen, Julia & Griffin. This was our first time at the splash pad. It was hot but happened to be a little cooler then it had been the last few days and there was a breeze so the kids said the water was cold after a little while of playing. Here are some pictures from there (I forgot my camera and thankfully Kristen had hers).

Since we didn't make it too terribly long at the splash pad we decided to head to the park. We started at the park right by it but then moved to the bigger park which is nearby. We had so much fun and didn't get home till late Friday afternoon. We sure do love play dates!

Happy 4th Birthday Emma!!!

My sweet baby girl is 4 today. I can't believe 4 years have come and gone since I was blessed to be her mommy. I am so thankful that God gave me her.

Emma-

You are absolutely amazing. I love everything about you from your hair down to your little toes. Sure we have our moments where you test the waters but overall you are a very good strong willed little girl who I know is going to grow up to be an awesome lady! Me and Daddy have had so much fun watching you change over the last 4 years and while we think it's going too fast we can't wait to see how much more you'll change as life continues on. I love hearing about your days and how animated you are and I love watching you with Brooks. Your innocence about the way you see things is PRICELESS...it is something I hope you'll have for a very long time. For some reason you turning 4 is hard for me. I'm not sure if it's because I know you'll start kindergarten after this year or what. 4 just seems so big to me! So I hope that days slow down although I know they won't. I'll just have to savor every moment because before I know it you will be a big girl. Until then I'll just enjoy you being a mommy's girl. You are my shadow and do everything I do and I absolutely love it. You are a little momma to Brooks and it's so cute. I love you sweet girl! You will always be my baby no matter how big you get!!!

Happy 4th Birthday Emma! We love you SO MUCH!!!!
