Goodbye 2010...

I can't believe another year has come and gone. I think I say that every year but they are going by so fast these days. I wish I had something profound to say at the end of yet another year, but I can't think too hard on this past year or how fast everything is going because I then just become an emotional basketcase! My sweet, sweet babies are growing way too fast and I just want it to slow down...or maybe I should slow down and soak it all up even more, if that's even possible. So I guess my goal for 2011 is exactly that...slow down, live in the moment and enjoy everything there is about my babies and my family. 2010 has been a great year and I can only hope 2011 will be just as good or even (hopefully) better! I hope you all have a Happy New Year!

Today was a GORGEOUS day! It got up to 71 degrees and felt like spring and not December 31st. If you remember just 6 days ago we had snow. It is crazy here in the south, what can we say! So we decided to enjoy being able to be outside and we played outside and ate lunch on the deck! Here are some pictures of how we spent the last day in 2010.

See you next year! :)

A White Christmas

It snowed on Christmas which was a first in a VERY long time!! Emma wasn't too impressed Christmas day because she had much more fun stuff to do! But Sunday when the snow was still here she couldn't wait to get outside.

Ready to go inside...she said it was too cold!

Brooks on the other hand, would have stayed outside all day had we let him.

It snowing on Christmas was awesome, we never get snow really and never seem to get a white Christmas!! We loved it!!

Christmas Morning 2010

Santa came to visit us...we must have made his nice list because we got lots of good stuff!

This face is priceless...brings tears to my eyes to look at her excitement!!

She told me "mommy, Santa brought me my special kitchen"!!

Emma opening her stocking...she wanted a picture!

Brooks with part of his stocking

Off to the presents

Emma showing Brooks how to drive his new car.

This is pretty fun!

A trunk full of dress up clothes...what more could a girl ask for!

Emma showing us her book about her trip to Disney World...this was one of favorite gifts!

Brooks sharing his goodies with Zoe!

Playing with her special kitchen!

Brooks joining in...

And we can't forget about checking the plate of cookies we left for Santa!

Our cake we made for the entire reason we celebrate Christmas! Happy Birthday to Jesus!

Later that day we went to my mom's house for dinner with my grandparents and sister. Sunday we went to my dad's house to do Christmas but I didn't get any more pictures with our camera. We were too busy enjoying it all! We truly are blessed to have 2 healthy happy beautiful kids (if I do say so myself) and a great family to share the holidays with! We had a very Merry Christmas and will hopefully have a Happy New Year as well!

Christmas Eve Recap...

We had a very Merry Christmas and hopefully everyone else did as well. We were very busy this year and went all over town. Christmas Eve we started out by going to Nancy's (Ben's mom) house which we do every year and then went to his dad's house as well. Here are some pictures from Nancy's house where they each get to open 1 present.

Ben & Brooks

Emma helping Brooks open his toy from Nanny. Emma already knew what it was and couldn't wait for him to open it!

Trying out the new firetruck

Emma's turn to open a present

Here she is walking her puppy...she wanted this so bad when we saw it in Target a while back!

Back to the firetruck!

Our attempt at a family picture!

From there we went to Greg's (Ben's dad) house. Here are few pictures from there where the kids got more goodies. Greg & Trish decided they wanted to do Christmas pj's this year and thankfully I had brought the kids (Ben forgot to tell me this so that's why we aren't in our jammies)!

Here is Conner giving Emma one of her presents.

Brooks with 1 of his presents but he was more interested in the booster seat they had!

Both kiddos unwrapping presents.

From there I didn't get any more pictures at their house. With 5 kids under the age of 5 it got pretty chaotic with new toys! When we got home later that night though I wanted to get a picture of Emma and Brooks before bed. They had both fallen asleep in the car though and weren't very happy we had to do more pictures! :)

Emma and Bella

Brooks with the cookies for Santa, he really wanted them for himself!

Emma Bean...I wanted one of the 2 of them together with the cookies but it wasn't happening. We'd had a long busy day though!

And then they were off to bed so Santa could come visit our house!
