Brooks is 8 months old...

Brooks was 8 months old Sunday. I can not believe it's been 8 months already. I know I say that with each passing month but seriously it's going so much faster this time then it did with Emma. Please God let me slow down time and keep them little, safe and innocent for as long as possible!! :)

Brooks you are such the big boy these days. You are eating about 4 bottles a day (it varies on the amount) and eating 3 meals of baby food as well. We've tried some stage 3 foods and as long as they are the regular veggies and fruits your fine. You DO NOT like broccoli, carrots and cheese (mixed together) nor do you like spaghetti! Hopefully this will change when you can eat the real thing because these are some of my favorite things! We've also given you some yogurt melts and you love those and real yogurt with cereal and fruit in it and you love it as well. I think you have the sippy cup down now, although it's a little difficult for you when it's full. But you love water, or water mixed with apple juice. You are in 6-9 month clothes now across the board. You take 2 naps a day, the first one being about 30 minutes and the 2nd one being about 2 hours if it's a good day. You go to bed about 8:00 p.m. and wake up about 6:00 or 7:00, but still get up in the middle of the night once or twice. I think this has to do with teething because the biggest news of the month was you cut your first tooth and we are pretty sure you are getting another one. Also you have stood by yourself not holding on to anything (which is pretty big actually) and this weekend was moving between the coffee table and the couch at the lake. If your not walking or close to it by 9 months I'll be really surprised. You are happy all the time and so laid back. I hope you stay that way forever! :) We love you so, so, so much!!

He wouldn't be still long enough for me to get his 8 month sticker that was on his shirt!! So we had to hold him up.



In other news at our house, Emma is obsessed with taking showers now! It's so cute to watch her and she has too much fun!! Hopefully I'll get some pictures from our 4th of July weekend posted this week.
