Happy 4th of July!

We had big plans for the 4th, we were going up to the lake to spend the night and enjoy the fireworks, but the weather had other plans for us! In hindsight, we probably could have gone to the lake and enjoyed it all. Originally they canceled the fireworks then ended up doing them last minute because it wasn't raining. That's what we get for listening to the weather people! It was though a very rainy, wet, dreary 4th of July weekend. So when we didn't go to the lake Amber and Jarred invited us to their house to cookout and watch fireworks in town if they were doing them. We headed over and had a great day!! Here are some (alot of) pictures from the day!

We had a great 4th of July and even though our original plans got changed we still made the best of it and had a ton of fun!

Goodbye to our house...

Back in September we decided to put our house on the market just to see what would happen. At the time I wasn't sure I wanted to sell it at all. The very next day of listing it, they showed the house. I was in full on panic mode because I was so unsure. I did know I wanted to be in a more flat neighborhood with a lot more kids thought. But almost 9 months later when it did finally sell I had decided I was ready for new beginnings. I'd love to follow this post up with one showing our new house but we're in the in between stages! :) When we first listed our house there was nothing on the market I even cared for or thought was any better then our house. I never really looked (except for at new neighborhoods) during those 9 months because I didn't want to find something I couldn't live without and then not be able to get it. So now that we're moved out and settling in with my mother in law we're really starting to look and devote more time to it. However, there still isn't anything I have to have right now. I think at this point (unless something changes or comes on the market) we've decided we'll hold out and build. Now we just have to decide where and when we want to build! I think we're both still exhausted from the move and the house being shown every single weekend that we just want to relax and enjoy summer. So I'm hoping come fall/winter we'll figure out our next move! Until then I wanted to make sure I got Emma and Brooks' first house on here so they'd always have pictures. We bought our house new but did A LOT of work/add ons to it. There was a lot of TLC put into it and it was bittersweet to leave. But we know the next one will be just as great if not better and that makes us all excited. I took all of these pictures off the internet when it was listed so there are some pictures we'd already taken down and things we'd moved out.

Movie Time...

Last week when Emma and Brooks were at Jennifer's house (our old neighbor) she decided to take them all (4 total including mine) to the movies to see Monster's University. Thankfully she snapped some pictures since I wasn't able to go and I'm very thankful!

A Day in the Life of Ellie....

I couldn't resist devoting an entire post to Ellie. She makes me laugh EVERY. SINGLE. DAY! We like to call her our clepto escapee! She'll still our food when we aren't looking and she's out the door before you can blink an eye because she wants to go with you! She loves Emma and Brooks like nothing I've ever seen (and I'm not saying Zoe doesn't, Ellie's just still a puppy). If they go outside and leave her in, she's laying with her head down at the crack of the door where it meets the wall waiting for them to come back. If they are crying, she runs to check on them. If they want to play chase, she runs around like a crazy dog (which is hilarious). If they are going with me to run, she's in their cars before they are. When they are asleep, she sneaks in their arms for some extra cuddle time. She is just truly a great, loving, loyal dog. And since I've gotten some pretty cute pictures of her lately (some that have been put on other posts) I thought I would share.

We've only had her a few short months, but she's stolen all of our hearts and is definitely a keeper!

Weekend Pictures

We had a fun weekend. Friday night I went to dinner with my best friends for some mommy time and had a great time. Saturday we swam off and on all day and Amy and Braegan came to join us for a little bit. Sunday we went to church and then Roxana came over to swim. (Sadly I didn't get any pictures from Braegan or Roxana being there this weekend). Here are just a few pictures from our weekend.

Friday afternoon my mom took the kids to an open house for their realtor. I went and met them after work. Here is Emma and Brooks trying to catch a fish. No such luck but they had a lot of fun.

They also had inflatables to jump and slide on but I didn't get a picture. They had too much fun. Emma decided she didn't want her face painted but painting her hand was ok. She picked a unicorn of course! She sure does love unicorns.

They've been asking us for a week if we could break out the tent to let them have a "camp out". So this weekend Ben got it down. They slept in it inside Friday and Saturday night and loved it.

Sorry the quality isn't great, I didn't want to wake them. :) Here is Ellie snuggled in with Brooks Saturday night. She LOVES Emma and Brooks!

Brooks has been asking for a big boy bike for some time now. He's been riding Emma's old one for a while. We told him if he'd let us get rid of 3 of his riding toys we'd get it. He had 2 bikes of his own and then Emma's from when she was his age so it was time for them all to go. Saturday morning when him and Emma went to buy groceries with me he picked out his lime green bicycle then. It wouldn't fit in my car so when we got home later that day he got Ben to take him to get it. You can't tell in this picture but it's bright lime green. He was in HEAVEN.

After a little bit of riding, we got back in the pool to swim some more since it was so hot. I think they'd swim every day all day if they could!

We had a fun filled, relaxing weekend which is exactly how it is supposed to be!! I'm looking forward to a long weekend full of family and friends!
