Cheese Puffies...

Ever since we gave Brooks big people food he wants to try everything we are trying. One of his favorite things is cheese puffs. Here are some pictures of him enjoying some.

Dance, Dance, Dance...

We started a Mommy & Me dance class 3 weeks ago. At first Emma wasn't so sure about it but she's warming up to it and now looks forward to it every week. I look forward to it as well because it's just me and Emma time for that night. I started dance when I was 2-3 so I figured what better thing to do then have her start young as well. This is nothing real structured, it's just more or less a way to introduce them to dance. I actually enjoy it myself...who wouldn't enjoy getting to sing, dance and act like a kid again! Brooks' 9 Month Checkup...

I've been meaning to do a post on his 9 month stats but just haven't had a chance. We went to the doctor a few weeks ago for his 9 month checkup and he's doing great...which we already knew. He weighed 18 lbs 4 oz and was 29 inches long. He was 25% for weight and 75% for height. When we were there our doctor told us he was in the process of cutting his top 2 teeth and sure enough 1 has finally broken the skin. Won't be much longer and the other should as well. Brooks is starting to walk more and more each day. He's finally realized he can walk to something he wants and so he'll attempt to do it without anyone helping or standing there with open arms. It's amazing how fast he's changing over night. Here are a couple of pictures of him we've taken recently.

Mommy & Me Day

This past Saturday me and Emma had a mommy & me day and it was so fun. We will be doing this a lot more regularly! I heard the Mr. Potato Head exhibit was at the McWane Center so I decided to take her…it was just me and her. We went and grabbed lunch from our favorite place, Chick Fil A and then headed downtown. When we finished we went to Target and got stuff for cupcakes and bought her 2 outfits. She was in heaven and so was I. She’s changing so much so fast she just amazes me daily. I love her so, so much!! Here are some pictures from our trip to the McWane Center.

Emma's First day of 3K...

Emma started 3K today and was so excited. We got very lucky and her teachers this year include Mrs. Sam from last year who we absolutely adore and Ms. Melissa who she had this summer. We also have Ms. Rose and she's new for us but so sweet. Here are some pictures from her first day.





Her new lunchbox she picked out all by herself. It matches her backpack from last year and she wanted them to match. Thanks to leaky sippy cups we got a new lunchbox for the year.



Brooks enjoyed his day with Nana all to himself. Here are some pictures she took of him today playing. He decided to show off for her and took 3 steps in a row to her about 3 different times. I hate I wasn't here to see it but he was having too much fun with her. He gets so excited when he walks a step or is standing all by himself.

GNO Beach Trip...

Last Thursday I got to leave and go to the one of my most favorite places with some of my most favorite girls. Our girls night out group decided to go to the beach for 4 days and we had a blast. I've never laughed so hard in my life. Each of these girls hold a very special place in my heart and I don't know what I'd do without them. Every one needs friends like this and I am so grateful that I have them. Actually I consider them my extended family!! Here are some pictures from our trip.











I think Ashley summed up our weekend best..."Random facebook comments, new vocabulary words, really heavy coolers and shared custody of great movies make for a fantastic beach weekend!" We're already looking forward to our 2nd annual beach trip next summer and counting down the days!! We had the BEST times.

This is the same white dress she wore last year and I love it! I plan to take some of the pictures I've posted in the last 3 posts and make them black and white and print them. We had a great time this year at the beach and I can't wait to go back next year.
