Brooks' 1st Birthday Present

Last night we gave Brooks his first birthday present. I didn't know if he'd be interested in opening it or not. He actually was very interested in opening it till he got the front part off and could play with it. Then he was done opening it. When we had to take it from him to take it out of the box, I thought he was going to have a major meltdown. He didn't like that at all. I wasn't even thinking about taking it out of the box and wrapping it or I would have most definitely done that. Although I will make sure I do that for Christmas! Here are some pictures.

Happy 1st Birthday to My Prince!!!

Dear Brooks-

I can not believe you are 1 year old today. I still remember the day I found out I was pregnant with you. I remember the day I found out you were a boy and most importantly I remember the day I had you! Where has all that time gone? As I always say, it's going too fast. You have been such a good baby!! You are so laid back and so much fun! I could just eat you to pieces! I can't wait to watch you grow up and see the world through your eyes. You and your sister bring us so much joy!! This is what you are up to these days!

You sleep all night from about 8:00 p.m. to 7:30 a.m. everyday.
You still nap twice a day. Once in the morning for about an hour and once in the afternoon for about 2 hours.
You wear size 12 month clothes.
You are eating nothing but table food.
You will take juice/water from a sippy cup just fine, but you are not so sure you like your milk from it.
You are still on a little bit of formula but once this can is done you'll be completely on whole milk.
You can clap your hands, you can wave, and you can throw your hands in the air when we say 'touch down Auburn'. So very cute!!!
We turned you around in the car and it's like it's a whole new world for you.
You have your own version of saying Emma's name, it sounds like Memma. It's really cute!
You can shake your head no when you don't want something or we ask you something and when you want to say yes you say ugghh... and nod your head yes. It's too cute.
We ask you at night if you are ready to go to bed and you say ugghh...nod your head and go to the steps then crawl up them and go to your room.
We can also ask you if you need a dry diaper or you have a stinky diaper and you will go to the bedroom, pull out a diaper and lay down. You are such a SMART boy!! (Hopefully this is a sign you'll be easy to potty train when the time comes)
You do have a little bit of a temper here and there and it's too funny to watch. I'm sure this is purely because you can't do and say everything you want too right now.
You love us all but you are definitely a momma's boy and I love it!! Hopefully you'll stay that way!
You can give kisses all by yourself and I just can't get enough of them!! I could kiss you and your sister all day long!!

I'm sure I'm forgetting something! You are truly amazing and we are so proud of you! You change and grow everyday and I'm so thankful to be able to see it all happen.

We love you more then you'll ever know and we hope you have the best 1st birthday ever!!

Pumpkin Patch

A couple of weeks ago Emma's dance class danced at the Pumpkin Patch in Hayden. She did an awesome job and I couldn't have been more proud. Here are some pictures from the day!

Halloween 2010...

Here are some pictures of Emma and Brooks dressed up for Halloween. Emma was Dorothy and Brooks was the Scarecrow.



I should add that Brooks wanted no part of the hat but he still looked precious!



I've got a picture of him walking to trick or treat that I will have to post sometime because his outfit was just too cute!

Amber, Jarred, Jacob, Colyn, Amy, Braegan and Shirley came to join us this year. Amber & Jarred have been trick or treating with us since we had Emma and Jacob and it's become a fun tradition! Now Amy is getting to come as well and we are so happy.

I didn't get a picture of Colyn so I got this off Amber's blog because I couldn't leave him out. He looked precious as well!



We had 5 kids ages 3 and under and it was quite fun! They all had a blast and it was fun getting to see them have so much fun! I hope you all had a Happy Halloween! I'm a little behind in posting but hopefully will catch up over the next few weeks!

My cute sweet baby girl...

Just had to share a couple of pictures of Miss Emma Bean before school last Friday. She looked so cute.





Last night I went to CVS to pick up some medicine and Emma wanted to go with me. When we were leaving she noticed all the Halloween decorations in the neighborhood and informed me that we needed some light up steps like the people up the street and a BIG (arms opened wide in the back seat) light up pumpkin too. It was too funny! She then asked me if they'd have those at CVS. She's so observant these days. I could just eat her up!!

Fun at the Park

Last weekend we went to the park. Here are some pictures from Emma and Brooks playing. They looked SO CUTE too so I had to take some pictures.

It ended up being a lot more hot then I thought it would be however we had a great time and they really enjoyed it!

11 Months...

I'm behind again on posting but Brooks was 11 months old on October 4th. We did remember to take pictures though. Your daddy actually took them when me and Emma were at dance class one night.





You sleep from 8:00 p.m. to about 7:00 or 7:30 a.m. everyday.
You take 2 naps a day, the first one about 9:00 or 10:00 for about an hour and another at 2:00 for about 2 hours.
You still take 4 bottles. Three 4 oz bottles and 1 6 oz bottle however, you don't drink all of it everytime.
You LOVE table food and are eating only it. You've tried just about everything we eat and like it. So far you aren't a picky eater. You shake your head no when you are done.
We can ask you a question and if you want to answer yes you nod your head once and say ugghhh. It's too cute.
We ask you if your ready for bed and you go to the stairs and will climb all the way up to your room.
You have 4 teeth and 2 more that will be in very soon.
You give kisses and we love them
You've been walking for a month now and won't crawl anymore and haven't since you realized you can walk.
You wear 12 months clothes for the most part.
You love your sister and want to do everything she is doing.
You throw your arms up in the air anytime we say touchdown Auburn and it's so cute.
I'm sure I'm forgetting things, you are just busy, busy, busy all the time.




Brooks you are growing and changing every day. I can't believe you'll be 1 so soon. You and your sister bring us so much joy and happiness. We love you and Emma so much!
