While I was gone to Salt Lake City...

Emma and Brooks had more attention and love then they could ever want. However, it made me feel so, so special when I got back. On the way home from the airport Brooks just kept leaning over to look at me (I sat in the back between him and Emma) and Emma held my hand all the way home. Then once I got home I was instructed by Emma that I had to wait downstairs till she went potty because she had all kinds of decorations that were just for me because she missed me so much. When I walked upstairs it was the sweetest thing I'd ever seen. The banner over the fireplace made me cry. Not only did she make it just for me but she did it all by herself minus the Welcome on it although she did add the smiley faces (she says Brooks helped...I'm sure he scribbled on it here and there).

More watermelons for me...



There were more watermelons over by the front & back door but I somehow forgot to take a picture of those. This really was all her idea, she just told Nana and Nanny what she wanted to make next. She would paint, write and color all day long if we'd let her. Hopefully she'll be more creative then her mommy!

She sure did make me feel like the BEST mommy in the whole wide world (and I'm far from it)!! If she only really knew how much I missed her and Brooks!! I love them so, so much!

Salt Lake City

Week before last I went on a work trip to Salt Lake City, Utah. I had never been and it was quite an interesting place. We left 70 to 80 degree weather and up there it was 30's, 40's and 50's. We got there Tuesday night late and Wednesday was actually nice. It was sunny and in the low 50's. However after Wednesday it started to snow and snowed the rest of the time we were there. It's always interesting to compare the north and the south. Had it snowed like that here in Alabama everything would have been shut down but up there everything was normal business as usual. We had a great time at our conference and a great time sightseeing. Here are some pictures from the trip.

We got free tickets to see the Utah Jazz professional basketball game one night. I have to admit at first I said I didn't want to go but I'm so glad I did. I'm not into basketball and the game wasn't what made the night, it was the company!!





I didn't take many pictures at all but thought I'd share what I had. I have never been so happy to come back to Alabama where it was hot and humid! I missed my sweet babies and hubby so much! I am definitely a southern girl through and through.

Brooks' 2nd hair cut...

We had Brooks' 2nd hair cut done a couple of weeks ago which was a huge success this time. He started to cry when we put him in the chair but quickly stopped. I think Nana being there really made the difference! I won't share all of this haircuts, I promise, however he did such a good job I had to share!

Sweet, sweet babies!!!

This picture melts my heart!! The bond that I see they have already is the sweetest thing ever. Don't get me wrong they still have their moments but they are getting to be less and less of them fighting over something and more and more of them playing together and loving on each other!



Hopefully I can get a video or picture of Brooks tickling Emma soon! It's precious! Anytime she's laying in the floor he goes over to her and sits on top of her and starts tickling her and saying tickle tickle. It's too cute!

Birthday parties are so much fun...

When you get to play dress up!!! A few weeks ago we went to Julia's party. Her and Emma do dance together every week. I didn't think to take any pictures with my camera but I did get these 2 pictures of Emma. The first one is on our way and the 2nd is on our way home. She had the BEST time and it was the cutest party!

A day at the park...

So it's been a while since my last post. Life got a little crazy. I'm gonna try and play catch up over the next week or so. For starters we've been sick, sick and more sick. I feel like I should get a 2nd job at the doctor's office. I think the girl that answers the phone recognizes my voice now and of course knows for sure who it is when I say my name. But hopefully once all this pollen is gone and it stays warm for good we'll be back to one healthy happy house!

We went to the park a couple of weeks ago and had a great time. Ben had to work that day so my mom met me, Brooks, and Emma and then Amy, Braegan and her mom joined us. Here are some pictures from our day.
