Goodbye 2009...

I can not believe another year has come and gone. Where did the year go? I look back on this year and I have to say it was a good year to me and my family. In February I was able to start working 4 days a week. If I have to work (which I do) then having an extra day off is really nice. Hopefully I'll be able to continue to do that for years. March 1st I found out I was pregnant again. I remember the day as if it were yesterday (just like I remember the day I found out I was pregnant with Emma). We had went out the night before for one of my best friends birthdays, it snowed that night and Emma had spent the night with my mom. We got up and went got her. I had taken a few pregnancy tests and all came back negative. That afternoon when she took her nap I was talking to Ben about it and decided for whatever reason to take 1 more test. That one came back positive. I remember being so happy, scared, overwhelmed and crying. It was a GREAT day!! :) In May we found out the sweet baby I was carrying was a boy. I said all along I wanted another girl so Emma would have a best friend but when I heard it was a boy I was giddy like I didn't ever expect to be, like I was when they told me Emma was a girl. In June Emma turned 2...2, where had the last 2 years gone? She had changed so much in the last year it was truly amazing. July we went on our family vacation and had a blast even though I was 22 weeks pregnant and it was BURNING up! LOL! I swear this had to be the hottest summer ever (I know it really wasn't but being pregnant it sure felt like it). August I turned another year older (fastly approaching 30) and the summer was coming to an end and we were ready to meet Brooks. September was when Emma started Mothers Day Out. For those of you that know me, know that was HUGE. I knew it was time and I knew she was ready but the thought of someone else taking care of my baby made me sick to my stomach. No one could do it like I could or my family. But I have to say we were blessed with the best teacher we could ask for. She made our transition (mine and Ben's, lol) as smooth as possible and Emma loves her. The way Emma has changed just since then is unbelievable. I am SO glad I went ahead and did it. It's good for her and for us! September also started the baby season. I had 4 friends pregnant with me and the babies started in September. By October I was over being pregnant (really probably long before that) and was ready to have our baby boy. November 4, a day I'll NEVER forget we got to meet our precious baby boy. He was everything we could ever hope for and then some. He too has forever changed our lives. God has blessed us with 2 happy, healthy children and we are so thankful for that. The holidays were lots of fun even though I was sick on Christmas day and now here we are on New Years Eve all thinking about what the last year was like for us and what the next year holds for us. I'm not good at making New Years resolutions, I always say something and then may or may not do it. So this year I'm not really making one. I know this might sound so cliche but I honestly just want to try and be a better mother, wife and friend. I don't think I'm too shabby at any of them but no one is perfect and there is always room for improvement so that's my goal! (And of course lose the rest of this baby weight as soon as possible!!) I hope that 2010 is as good to me as 2009 was and I hope 2010 is good to all of you.

I'm wishing you all the Happiest New Years you can have!! Be safe and have fun! Talk to you next year!

Morgan
