Weekend Recap...

I hope you all had a great weekend and a Happy Thanksgiving. We sure did. We did Thanksgiving dinner Thursday night. Then Friday morning me and my mom went shopping (not super early like all the other people though) then came home and watched Auburn lose a game they shouldn't have lost. Saturday, we had Luke's birthday party at Pump It Up and Emma actually thoroughly enjoyed it this time. I left Ben at home with Brooks and went and it was a lot of fun. Probably not exactly what the doctor had in mine for someone 3 1/2 weeks out of having a baby but fun none the less, lol! Sunday we did all of our regular chores and then Ben's dad came to visit. I hope you all have a Happy Thanksgiving! We have so much to be thankful for this year, a roof over our head, a happy marriage, 2 healthy amazing kids, great family and of course the best friends we could ask for.

Just a random update...

I want to start with saying Congratulations to Amy and Mark. They just had their sweet baby girl. They decided to drive us all crazy and leave us all wondering by not finding out the sex. But that's ok it was fun guessing for almost 9 months. Amy delivered sweet baby Braegan yesterday afternoon via c-section. She weighed 7 lbs 8 oz and was 19 inches long. It's probably a good thing she was 3 weeks early! I don't have a picture to post even though I've been there twice already to see them with a camera both times, but you can link to their blog above and see the sweet baby girl.

In other news, I took Brooks for a 2 week checkup today. He's up to 8 lbs 15 oz and 21 inches long. So in 2 weeks since his birth he's gained 9 oz and grown an inch. We are very thankful he's healthy and happy. Here are just a few pictures of my sweet babies!!

A Week in Pictures...

So I've been a little MIA and I'm not sure it will get better anytime soon. I'm going to try really hard because I started this blog to keep up with Emma and Brooks. But while I'm getting adjusted to life with 2 I might be a little slower at posting. We are all doing great and adjusting really well. I'm sure it could be worse and I'm sure it could be better but I really can not complain at this point. The only thing I can say is my days are still going by really fast yet I there are times I look back and say what did I do today to make it go by so fast? When I'm holding Brooks I feel like I should be playing with Emma, when I'm playing with Emma I feel like I should be holding Brooks and when I'm doing neither there is always a chore waiting to be done. Amy called me this weekend and asked me what I was doing and I said cleaning house, she said aren't you supposed to be resting, and I laughed. There is no time for that with 2. With 1 you can get away with it but not now. It's ok though, I wouldn't trade it for the world. Anyway, I will quit rambling and post some pictures! Here you go!

He started getting fussy so she stopped to hold his hand and tell him it's ok! It was so sweet!



Here he was supposed to be watching football with daddy but you can see he doesn't understand it's importance yet! :)



These are just a few of the pictures we have of both Emma and Brooks. I have more on the big camera that I will try and post soon as well! These were all from my new little camera that Ben gave me in the hospital. It was such a sweet and thoughtful gift. I had been wanting a camera for my diaper bag forever and now I have one!

Meet Baby Brooks...

Here is a picture of our sweet baby boy! He looks a lot bigger in this picture then he is to me!



He was born on Wednesday, November 4th at 1:27 p.m. He weighed 8 lbs 6 oz and was 20 inches long. He's as sweet as can be just like his big sister. I'll post more pictures later.

Tomorrow is the BIG day!!!!

I thought I would have lots of time to post today and even include some pictures but the time just got by so fast. We are scheduled to be at the hospital at 6:00 a.m. Hopefully everything goes well, smoothly and fast! :) I will update when I can and hopefully have a picture or 2 of Brooks to share when I do! We've had a good weekend and I've had 2 great days off with Emma. I have been a little under the weather but all is good. I hope you all have a great Wednesday and say a quick prayer for us that everything goes well! Thanks so much to all of you for calling me, emailing me or texting me! You definitely know how to make me feel special and loved. You don't know how much you each mean to me!
