While Mommy's away...I'm still missed!

I went on my annual girls beach trip a couple of weeks ago and had great time. While I was gone the kids were busy having too much fun and Ben was busy working on stuff around the house to surprise me. Emma spent the night with Nancy while I was gone and Brooks stayed with my mom. They went to the pool Saturday and had fun. But when it was all said and done they still missed their momma and that made my heart melt. When I got home here is what I found.

All the pictures they did, or should I say Emma did, there are a few Brooks colored though.







Ben was so sweet as well and painted the half bath (I'd been wanting to do it for sometime now), re-painted all the trim, stained the deck and put in a flower bed where we were having water issues by the playhouse. I couldn't believe all he did and it meant so much to me! I'm so blessed with a sweet hubby and 2 precious children!

Music Time

There is no doubt about it, Emma and Brooks love music! Brooks actually knows all the words to Jesus Loves Me and that's because it's Emma's favorite song. I keep wanting to try and video him singing it, it's the sweetest thing! Here they are listening to their cd's before bed.

Brooks is sleepy...

We always know after bath when Brooks is sleepy because he will literally be Emma's baby doll! He will do whatever she asks him too. One night she convinced him to let her push him in the baby stroller. She pushed him through the living room, kitchen and dining room for a good 30 to 45 minutes before bed. It was too sweet! Here are some pictures.

Since he was willing to be her baby she still couldn't leave out her other babies and loaded him down but he didn't mind!

Let's Play Dress Up...

Brooks is ALL boy! I promise you that! However, with the joys of having a big sister that plays with mostly baby dolls, strollers and dress up clothes he can't resist getting in on the fun with her! Besides, lets be real, if Emma is doing it - he wants to as well. He ABSOLUTELY adores her, he won't even play with things that she has no interest in. If we try and get him to play with something different and he hasn't seen Emma play with recently, he won't play with it. We can say Emma come play with this and she will and then he will. It's too cute!! One day he'll kill me for taking these pictures but they are just too cute I couldn't not do it!
