Day 2...Magic Kingdom...Part 1

Another long post...sorry! I should have included in my post yesterday that Emma brought me a piece of paper Wednesday night that was in our room and I asked her what that was, she said the castle, I want to take it home. Then she turned around and handed me a piece of the package a cookie was in that had Minnie on it. I asked her what that was for and she said she wanted to take it home also. Made my heart melt, the innocence of a child and how she wanted those 2 things to remember Disney World by (don't think I left them there because I didn't...what was trash to someone else was the world to my Emma Bean so I brought them home for her book). I told Ben about it when he got out of the shower and so he was talking to her as he was getting ready that night and told her all about Walt Disney and how he made Disney World just for little kids and went on and on and she stopped him halfway through and said can we call Walt. He said no we can't call him why sweetie, and she said because I wanted to tell him thank you for making Disney World. I could have cried right there!

Day 2 was a long fun day so I guess it's fitting that it needs 2 posts. Remember I went for work so I had to work as well. Thank goodness the park opened early while we were there and we took full advantage. My feet hit the ground running at 5:30 a.m. Thursday morning and didn't stop till after 10 that night. But it was well worth it. I know I could probably cut the pictures short and fit it in 1 but I don't want to forget any of it.

Here she is waiting on the school bus! I think the pictures give away how excited she was.

Eating her protein bar on the way to Magic Kingdom. I eat Southbeach Peanut Butter cereal protein bars and she really likes them and asks for them all the time.

Our first picture in front of the castle...she was in awe.

Here she is riding the carousel.

Playing inside Winnie the Pooh's treehouse.

Sliding down Pooh & Tigger's slide.

This is the best picture I got inside It's A Small World since we were moving the entire time.

Dumbo was actually the first ride we rode. She was so excited at first and then she started fussing saying she didn't want to do it and we listened to that for 20 minutes in line. When we got through riding Dumbo she said she wanted to do it again!! I told her she would love it. We didn't get a picture in the ride but they have a Dumbo set up outside the ride for photo opps...thank goodness!! I asked her when we got home what her favorite ride was and she said Dumbo! Sometimes they just need a little nudge to do something they don't think is fun to realize mommy and daddy are right!

Emma and Daddy in Minnie's living room.

Outside Minnie's mailbox and house.

Emma loved the train that took you all around Magic Kingdom.

You can't visit Minnie's house and not check out Mickey's since it is right next door. We just took a train ride in between because the train showed up right when we walked out of Minnie's house.

The first thing she said when we went out back was where is Pluto...and here was his house. She climbed the fence trying to go find him and we had to get her. It was too funny. You can tell she's not happy with us in this picture. We had just gotten her to come back over the fence.

Some more pictures of Emma in Mickey's backyard.

We can't have a picture outside Minnie's mailbox and not have one outside Mickey's.

I'll be back tomorrow for part 2.

Day 1 Disney bound...

We left last Wednesday morning bright and early and headed to Orlando. It was me, Ben and Emma, then Traci (my boss), her husband and 3 boys ranging in age from 9-18, Lauren (a co-worker) and Brandi (a co-worker) and her 13 year old daughter. It didn't take but about 5 mintues for Emma to warm up to them all and she had a great time with them.

Emma was beside herself that morning and didn't mind getting up extra early. Here she is being silly with Iggy Pop.

Looking out the window.

We got to our hotel around lunch and our rooms were ready. We all went to our rooms to unload our luggage and then went to eat lunch. After lunch I had to go help set up for our conference. Emma was pretty tired by that point so we decided she could probably use a nap so Ben took her to the room. When I got through setting up I went to get them and we headed to the pool with everyone else. At the pool they had a playground for kids and she had a lot of fun swinging and sliding.

Here she is swinging at our resort. She was having so much fun.

We went to Downtown Disney that night. We were going to attempt to eat dinner together (there were 11 of us total), however, we soon realized that wasn't going to happen and had to split up. After we ate we walked around a little bit. She loved looking out at the water and dancing.

When we got back to the hotel she wanted to sit at the fountain and take a picture with Minnie and throw pennies in. I think she could have sat here for hours. She just got her Minnie at the store and had bought Brooks a matching Mickey (she's so sweet).

That sums up our first day. Even though she didn't see Mickey the first day she had a lot of fun and so did we. She got her first pair of wings on the flight (I thought I had a picture of this but don't) since it was her first time flying with a card dating it all and she rode on a bus for the first time(which she called the school bus our entire trip and loved riding on them) and went to Orlando all in a days time. That's a lot of excitement for an almost 3 year old little girl. She passed out pretty quickly that night without any kind of fight. I'll be back tomorrow with a recap of day 2. I have so many pictures that I figured it would be easier to just break it up day by day.

Hope you all had a great weekend!

Easter

It's picture overload. The Easter bunny came to visit Emma and Brooks. Here is Emma looking at hers.

Look at all those pretty suckers...

Here is Brooks checking out what was in his. Excuse his jammies...he'd had his medicine already that is pink and some prune juice in his bottle and it got all over him!

Here are some pictures from after church.

Emma hunting Easter eggs.

Stopping for a drink of water.

She finally decided it was too hot and wanted pigtails. You have NO IDEA how happy that makes me! She's ABSOLUTELY adorable in pigtails and I've waited a long time for her to want to wear them.

We had a great Easter and we hope you all did too!

Brooks is 5 months old...

So not only was Easter yesterday but Brooks was 5 months old also. It's so hard to believe he's already 5 months. We can't imagine life before him now! He brings so much happiness to us and we love him so very much!! Here is what he's up to now.

Brooks your in size 2 diapers and wearing 3-6 month clothes. You are still eating 5 to 6 ounces every 3 hours for the most part. You go to sleep around 8 and wake back up around 9 or 9:30 and then go back down till we wake you at 6.

I swear Friday you said da da da once but no one was here to witness it and you haven't done it since. You are finally realizing you can get your knees under you when you are on your belly so your taking the first steps to crawling.

You LOVE Emma. As I type this your laughing at Emma.

You can sit unassisted for a few seconds at a time so it won't be long and you'll be sitting up so good. We have now tried all the 1st fruits and starting veggies. So far you like the 3 veggies you've tried (squash, sweet potatoes and carrots) however, with fruit your not in love with any of them but applesauce.

You learned a new trick with your mouth, it's making the fish face and it's so cute, it sounds like your smacking and you do it all the time now. On good days you take 2 naps, 1 shorter one in the morning and then a longer one in the afternoon. This doesn't happen every day. We love you so, so, so much Brooks!!! Happy 5 Months!!

Emma's Easter Party

Yesterday I left work to go to Emma's Easter Party. It was a lot of fun and I think she had a lot of fun. Of course I made her a long sleeve shirt not thinking it would be 85 degrees yesterday! Oh well she looked cute anyway! It's so cute to see her interact with Roxana and Harper. They just giggled and giggled and giggled the whole time I was there. Her class started out with 3 girls and 3 boys but has slowly dwindled down. I don't think Emma minds at all though. Here are some pictures of the day.

We got to eat lunch with them.

Here they are with their teacher Ms. Sam. Oh how I LOVE MS. SAM!!! I truly wish she could just be Emma's personal teacher all the way through. She's AWESOME!!

Roxana, Emma and Harper were dancing and acting silly waiting on the Easter Egg Hunt to start.

Roxana and Emma reading to each other. It was too cute.

Outside for the Easter Egg Hunt, waiting on it to start. She looks so serious!! :)

Back happy again!

All the girls going through their stuff!

Emma and Ms. Sam (Emma was smiling but my camera wouldn't snap it fast enough)

Hope you all have a great Easter!
