Weekend Recap

There isn't much to recap about the weekend. It was pretty low key. Saturday was the breast cancer walk and it was rainy and so I opted out of walking. For those of you that don't know I was the captain for our office here at work and was last year too. I walked last year and it was a lot of fun and registered to walk this year thinking I could easily do it. I really wanted to walk but Ben and my mom didn't think it was a great idea and weren't quite on board with me so I didn't. We worked around the house all weekend and then Sunday night went to dinner for my mom's 50th birthday. On our way home we had to stop and get gas and when we did Emma said she wanted ice cream. When Ben got back in the car I told her to tell daddy what she wanted and she did. She had been singing Jesus Loves Me all the way home and he'd been trying to get it recorded on his phone so he decided he would bribe her to do it again for ice cream (because we were already stopping by the store). After several attempts she finally did the majority of the song and he was able to record it. As soon as she was finished she said just as plain as day, now get me some ice cream. We both lost it, I was crying I was laughing so hard. She said it so matter of fact and like a big girl it just really cracked me up. She makes me smile daily, what can I say. Tomorrow I'll have some pictures to post for sure. We got some great ones last night of her teaching school and I meant to upload them last night but forgot. I'll share them tomorrow. Until then, hope you all have a great Tuesday!

Doctor's Update

So I went to the doctor today and had my first "check". I haven't done a thing! I honestly didn't think I had but was so hoping with as low as he feels that I might have something going on but there is not. That's ok, with how fast time is going I've found myself saying I'm not so sure I'm completely ready yet if he did come early and 3 1/2 weeks will be here before we know it. I have procrastinated on everything for him except his room so I've really got to step it up. I did ask her if we were still scheduled for November 4 and she said we were. He was head down and his heart rate was 150. I actually don't have to go back next week, I go back in 2 weeks then will go every week even though I'll be at the end at that point. That's fine with me though! Anyway I just thought I'd give an update on my appointment.

One last thing, I went today to Kids Market to pick up what I had left and my check and let me say it was WELL WORTH MY TIME!!! I was thoroughly impressed with what I had left (which wasn't much at all, I was able to carry it out and remember I took 140 items) and my check. It was a GREAT surprise! So if you have ever considered doing Kids Market I now highly recommend it.

I hope you all have a great day and a great weekend!

YAY for Thursdays!!

Here are the few pictures I got before our ordeal at the pumpkin patch Sunday. Hopefully we'll make it to another one here in town before the end of October but it looks like this weekend the weather is anything but nice. Yuck!! I'm so tired of rain, not sure about yall! Anyway, I go back to the doctor tomorrow and I'll try and post an update then if there is one!

Here is Emma checking out the stamp on her hand.

I had to get a few pictures at least of her in her shirt and pants I did. I think she looked so cute!! :) I opted not to make the bow and bought it at Homestead Hollow with Shannon and Amber on Saturday. I love that she now wears a ponytail holder in her hair so we can do much BIGGER bows. I LOVE BOWS!! :)

Maybe I can remember to take a picture of the picture I got for Brooks' room from Homestead Hollow this weekend to post. It's super cute too!

Happy Thursday!

Today is a VERY SPECIAL Day!!

Today is Ben's birthday (my hubby)!

He truly is the best husband ever and by far the best daddy ever. Emma and I both love him more then words can even say and I know Brooks will too. I depend on him so much he is definitely my rock! I don't know what I'd do without him! Ben, I love you and I hope you have a great birthday!!

Today marks 35 weeks for me. I go back to the doctor Friday and we'll see if I'm making any progress on my own for the first time. I'm not holding my breath that I am but who knows, I could be. Here is this weeks belly picture.

Lets just say I "officially" feel like the size of a whale! :) I've said that off and on since I started showing but I really do feel huge at this point. Not much longer to go though and my feelings of feeling huge will be replaced with a sweet baby boy in my arms that I can't wait to meet. I can't wait to see if he has a head full of hair or no hair at all, to see if he has brown eyes right at birth like Emma or not, to see if he looks like me, Ben or Emma or a good combination of us all. So many thoughts are running through my mind. It's all so surreal to me at this point. But for now we're just busy trying to get everything ready. We've really just started on washing his stuff, and getting it organized. It's so funny because with Emma I did everything so early. This time I guess I've just been preoccupied!

Anyway, I hope you all have a great day!

Pictures from the Park

I have pictures today from our trip to the park Saturday afternoon. It was so nice outside and we were there for about an hour before we headed to get dinner and make our way home to see Auburn play. Emma had so much fun and just ran and played. We stayed though till she said she was ready to go.

Here she is scoping out what she wanted to do first.

Being a ham for the camera:

We had to try both kinds of swings!

Running and playing.

I love this picture of her looking up at Ben!

Getting ready to slide.

No daddy, I'm a big girl, I don't need to hold both your hands.

See I told you I'm a big girl.

What can I get into next?

Getting ready to slide again.

Her and daddy going to see a doggie, she LOVES animals and as soon as she saw it she had to go see it.

She had so much fun at the park and the weather could not have been nicer.

Hope your all having a good Tuesday!

War Eagle

This is from the park Saturday. I don't have any other pictures with me so it's off my phone. I should be back tomorrow with lots of pictures.

We had a great weekend and I hope yall did too. Everything went good except for our trip to the Old Baker Farm Pumpkin Patch which turned in to a complete nightmare. We were running late and decided to take a detour and long story short it would have been faster to go the normal way, but hey you live and learn. My nerves were little shot by the time we got there. The weather had been holding out and they said it shouldn't (key word) start raining till 3 or later so our friends Amber and Ashley had already gotten started so we figured we'd take our chances. We literally walked in, went to the restroom and started towards everything and it started raining. Me and Ben looked at each other and decided we'd see if we could just get a raincheck and go back next weekend since we pretty much missed our friends(as it doesn't say no rainchecks, no refunds). We went back to the gate and they knew we just got there and commented on it and Ben said we'd like to get a raincheck and they said that wasn't possible. He explained he really didn't care about himself but didn't want Emma or myself getting sick right now. They finally told him we could talk to the owners. A man that was up there was nice and took us back to them. The lady gave Ben a hard time and was like well I know yall did just get here (maybe 10 min ago if that) so let me check with my husband. She then came back out and said that was fine she'd just give us a refund (smart move would have been to give us a raincheck and kept our money but whatever). We were like that's great and were ready to go on our way. Then the husband pulls up on his 4wheeler and starts asking if I'm the one wanting a raincheck. I said yes (Ben's still inside waiting on our money) and he is just down right rude to me and tells me didn't I check the weather? Which in turn I said as a matter of fact I did, do you think I would have driven an hour if I thought it was immediately going to start raining? I was pretty mad at this point. He continues to be ugly to me and say things about how they don't do this, etc where I finally tuned him out and when Ben walked up he told the guy your wife took care of it. At that point he drove over to talk to Ben. He told Ben this was a retail business and he couldn't just go around giving refunds where Ben looked at him and said guess what I own a retail business and there are always exceptions. It took us longer going back and forth with those "not so nice" people then it did to get in the place. When we left the man realized I was upset and then tried to play nice. I wanted to tell him to shove it but I was nice and went on my way. So needless to say our experience there was not as great as it was last year and we will NOT be going back to that one. Nor am I going to recommend it to anyone. I felt bad for Emma because she was so excited and all she could talk about was a pumpkin so when we left we went and got her a little pumpkin and told her we'd go to another one this weekend coming up if the weather was nice. Regardless we'll get her that BIG pumpkin she wants! :) Anyway, I just had to share my experience. I'll be back tomorrow with more pictures that we got yesterday and Saturday at the park. Other then that incident it really was such a nice weekend! I hope you all had a great weekend as well!

It's my Friday and it's October already!!!

Thank goodness for Friday's off right now. I hope they continue forever but even if they don't that's ok, I'm enjoying having Friday off while I do have it! :) I thought I'd share 2 pictures of Emma from this morning. These are on my phone that my mom sent me so they aren't perfectly clear. She was in a good mood and was dressed and ready for school.

Here she is being a ham!

She's so cute, I could just eat her up. Anyway, I had the flu shot yesterday and felt fine till last night and then it hit me (I guess) because I was out cold (literally) at 8:30 and everytime I woke up during the night I felt completely and totally drugged! So those are all the pictures I have to share today! Hope you all have a great weekend if I don't post again before then. I'm going to Homestead Hollow with Amber Saturday morning (anyone is welcome to join us for this or the Pumpkin Patch) and then we're (me, Amber and Ashley) going to the Pumpkin Patch Sunday. Can't wait for either, I think they'll both be fun!!
