A few weeks ago I took the kids to the park one night after dinner. We had been to this park before but they were too little to remember. I honestly forget about it, but we'll definitely have to go again soon. They had so much fun!
I think I had just as much fun as they did! I love them both so much!

Emma's 1st Fun Run
2 weeks ago was Emma's first fun run. They were raising money to put the soft padding down on their playground. She was so excited about it all. They wanted them to run between 25-35 laps if they could. Emma ran 40 laps!! We were so PROUD of her! Me and Brooks went to cheer her on and he had a blast!! Here are some pictures from the day.

Later that night we went to watch Bailey Ann play softball. Emma and Brooks had actually not been to the ball park before and they LOVED it. They were filty from head to toe and had a blast and ask everyday when we are going back! Brooks wasn't in the mood to stop for pictures but I did get this picture of Emma and Bailey. They adore each other!

Emma's School Program
Tuesday night we had Emma's end of the year school program. Her school is so big they do half of the grade one night and the other half another night. They sang several songs and then we went to her class for open house. It's truly amazing to me how much she's learned this year alone. Then seeing even more that they are learning in their class is just unreal. Kindergarten for sure isn't what it was when I was in school. It is far more advanced! Here are some pictures from her program.
Here she right before we left! They wanted all the kids to wear bright colored shirts.
Emma showing Brooks the way and making sure we're keeping up with them.
All the kids, you can't see Emma because she's on the right in the back.
Sweet Emma Bean!
Fallon and Emma...sweet friends.
Emma with her Chickadee tree/picture behind her she had to do!
Mrs. Shorter and Emma...she absolutely adores Mrs. Shorter and the feelings are the same for Mrs. Shorter! She has told us repeatedly how much she loves Emma, how mature she is and what leader she is for their class. She has definitely made us proud this year!

Meet Ellie
We've talked off and on for a while now about getting Zoe a playmate. We thought about asking Santa for one this Christmas but decided to wait. My mom called a couple of weeks ago and they came across the cutest, sweetest little dog that they just couldn't leave at the Humane Society. So that's how Ellie joined our family. She's a year old and is just a little bigger then Zoe. She weighs about 8 lbs. She loves us and fits right in and we LOVE her. Here are some pictures of Miss Ellie.
As you can see Brooks loves carrying her around and it didn't take long for them to have them in their cars riding up and down the street.

Fun at the park
Yesterday was a beautiful day so we headed to the park with lunch. I think everyone had the same idea as us so we ended up at the smaller park but the kids didn't mind.

Christmas 2012
Christmas has come and gone yet again but I wanted to make sure it was captured here on our blog. Santa had a hard time this year coming up with things for Emma. Brooks knew exactly what he wanted and talked about it non-stop. So everytime we asked Emma what she wanted she said a remote control train for Brooks because that's what he wanted so bad. It was so sweet. Here are some pictures from our morning.
The tree the way Santa left it.
Emma taking it all in!
Santa's cookie plate and a special note from Bella & Mitchell
The "infamous" remote control train. You could tell
he was a little disappointed when all the presents had been
opened and it wasn't there. He absolutely was head over heels
excited when he got to this.
This little thing is so much fun. Mommy might have to
ask Santa for one next year. Me and Emma have so much fun on it!

I asked Emma today what she was thankful for and she said her family and Zoe!
I asked Brooks tonight what he was thankful for and he said God!
Oh how I love my 2 sweet babies! I sure am thankful for them both and Ben and the rest of my family and friends and most importantly God!
